Headaches, Migraines and Neurovascular Compression

If you took the skull cap off your head and touched your brain, you wouldn’t feel anything because your brain doesn’t have any pain receptors. This means your head pain, headaches and migraines are coming from somewhere else. Blood vessels and nerves have a great deal of sensation, including pain.

Blood vessels and nerves travel up through your cervical spine (neck) to bring blood, oxygen and nutrients to your brain as well as information from your brain to the rest of your body and from your body back up through your neck to your brain. If you have a misaligned bone in your cervical spine (neck) and this misaligned bone is pressing against your blood vessels and nerves, this can cause you to feel that throbbing pain in your head. It can cause pain at the base of your skull, all around your head, pain behind your eyes and sometimes can cause fascial pain.

We make all corrections to the spine without any twisting, popping or cracking with our adjusting instruments. Let us help you get your bones off your nerves and blood vessels so head pain doesn’t affect you anymore. Let’s talk. Call (434) 245-8456 to see if we can help you get your life back.
